He compared with his team Lorenzo Pallegrini who was immediately given a red card after doing the same thing in the match against Udinese on Friday (24/9/2021).
Mourinho also felt Lazio’s second goal should have been disallowed because he judged in the process Elseid Hysaj had committed a foul on Nicolo Zaniolo.
“Unfortunately, this fantastic game was spoiled by the referee and VAR didn’t work well in this match,” said Jose Mourinho .
“The second goal should have made the score 1-1, but it was 0-2. The second yellow card for Lucas Leiva was also important because playing against 10 players made a big difference. Pallegrini got a red card, but today Leiva qualified,” he said.
“I thought AS Roma were the best team on the pitch today. We dominated and gave Lazio problems. They controlled
“We dominated and troubled Lazio. They controlled the game in the last minute because the referee let it go.”
